Jeff Warfield - Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
Jeffrey L. Warfield served as President of Submarina, Inc. from January 2000 to July 2007 after which he was appointed CEO and Chairmanof the Board of Directors. Jeff has held the position of Chief Operations Officer, Director of Construction, Training and Manager of Purchasing. From 1985 to 1995, Warfield served as an Aviation Machinist Mate in the United States Navy, including combat/carrier-based operations aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Ranger, in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. |

Mimi Zeller - President and Chief Operating Officer
Mimi began her career in franchising over 20 years ago at Domino’s Pizza, Inc. headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI as a Consumer Marketing Manager. She continued on the west coast as a Franchise Consultant and in 1990 was promoted to Franchise Operations Director. Mimi’s next franchising opportunity was at Mail Boxes Etc., where she was Senior Vice President of Operations, overseeing 3,400 domestic franchise locations across the country. She joined Submarina in September 2006 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed President in 2007.

Charles “Lynn” Lowder - Executive Vice President Administration and Chief Compliance Officer
Charles “Lynn” Lowder, provides significant leadership, legal/regulatory and operational expertise. A former trial attorney and law firm executive, he is also a former Executive Vice President and general counsel for Mail Boxes Etc., as well as, Chief Operating Officer for Colt’s Manufacturing (Colt Firearms). Most recently, he was a Senior Trial Lawyer with DLA Piper, the world’s largest law firm. A military veteran, Lynn served 16 years active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps where he earned the Silver Star medal, Bronze Star medal with combat “v” and Purple Heart for combat service in Vietnam. Lynn is an author, public speaker, and has been a board member for several profit and non-profit entities.

Jerrold Kusher – Executive Vice President, Procurement
Accompanied by thirty-years of success in the Foodservice Hospitality Industry, most recently as a Major Accounts Executive at U.S. Food Service San Diego, Jerrold joined the company as Executive Vice President, Procurement in 2007. He has collaborated with Submarina Inc. since 1995, overseeing concept research, development and implementation, as well as assisting with location expansion. Jerrold brings extensive experience with logistical facets of operation. and an intimate knowledge of recipe origination. Jerrold’s previous accomplishments include: supply chain creation and sales growth for ethnic business development as a Major Account Manager for Kraft Foodservice Jerrold was an Account Executive with Sysco Food Services while owning and operating a specialized delicatessen and Italian food distributorship. He holds a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.

Richard Stevens – Vice President, Development
Richard was appointed Vice President of Development in June 2007. From June 2005 to May 2007, he was a Sales Representative for Allied Partners, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV specializing in franchise sales. Other positions held have been contract Sales Representative for Java Joz in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. He’s also the Co-Founder/Owner of Revolutionized Printing Systems in Phoenix, AZ. |

Steve Tozzi – Executive Director of Training
Steve’s franchising career, primarily focused in food, started in 1987 with Domino’s Pizza. He successfully operated a multiple unit operation and in 1992 was promoted to a Franchise Consultant for Domino’s Regional West Coast Offices under the leadership of Mimi Zeller. Prior to joining Submarina, he was Director of Training for a multi-unit Sizzler franchisee. He also served as a District Manager for Papa John’s and Quizno’s Subs, where he gained extensive franchising experience. Steve joined Submarina, Inc. as Director of Store Operations in March 2007 and recently was promoted to Executive Director of Training.

Lydia Powless –Executive Director Administration and Human Resources
In 1987, Lydia relocated from Ontario, Canada and began her career in California with Liquor Barns as a Region Coordinator for the Southern California Region and later promoted to Office Manager at their corporate headquarters. She continued her retail experience with Sweet Factory assisting with their growth from a small thirty store chain to 100 plus locations. In 1999, Lydia began a career at Mail Boxes Etc. corporate headquarters where she continued until March 2007 in the executive offices along-side the president. She joined Submarina, Inc. as Director of Administration in March 2007 and was quickly promoted to Executive Director of Administration and Human Resources in June 2007. Lydia is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, working to attain her Professional Human Resource certification.

Jin Pak – Director of Area Operations and IT
In 1991, Jin began his career in the franchise restaurant industry as a Subway Owner/Operator. He relocated to southern California in 1998 and began his career with Submarina, Inc. Over the years, he has held positions as Training Manager, Director of Training, as well as, Director of Construction and Operations. Jin’s next move was into a key role as Director of Information Technology and most recently promoted to Director of Area Development Operations.

Kim Moore - Director of Marketing
A two-time Emmy Award winner in advertising, Kim brings more than 10 years of experience in marketing, management, event planning and franchising from a broad cross-section of industries. Kim’s leadership role as Director of Marketing Communications at Postal Annex+ Inc. was instrumental to their 300+ locations nationwide expansion. Leveraging these experiences, Kim’s focus is to strengthen the Submarina brand while ensuring corporate consistency during a time of rapid nation-wide expansion.

Geoff Hartzler – Director of Construction
Geoff began his manufacturing and production career in 1990 as a Production Supervisor for Metal Arts Manufacturing. In 2002, Geoff was Manufacturing Engineer at Applied Power Worldwide and then promoted to Fabrication Supervisor. He joined Submarina in April 2007 as the Director of Design and Construction. Geoff’s knowledge and dedication in the manufacturing field has made him a perfect fit for the Submarina, Inc. national expansion.

Ann Nimmo - Director of Site Development
Ann’s 25 year experience in the commercial real estate business began in 1982 with Ernest W. Hahn. She was involved with the development of major shopping centers throughout the country, including Horton Plaza and North County Fair in San Diego County. While employed by The Hahn Company, she received her law degree. In the 1990’s Ann worked for McDonald’s Corporation as the Development Coordinator for San Diego and Riverside County. In October 2007, Ann joined Submarina, Inc. as the director of site development.

Dimple Sidhpura - Director of Accounting
Dimple graduated with a degree in Business, Finance and Management in the U.K. Her accounting experience has been attained through her employment as a Finance and Administration Manager in various companies in the UK. In 2006, Dimple relocated to the U.S. and continued her career at Mail Boxes Etc. in the International Department. She gained valuable franchising experience working alongside 5,000+ domestic and international franchisees. In 2007, Dimple joined Submarina, Inc. as Director of Accounting.

Brian Kennedy - Director of Operations
Brian began his career in the business working for a local restaurant chain. In 1995, Brian and his brother opened their first of three successful Submarina restaurants. He received extensive training at the hands of Submarina’s founders and Jeff Warfield. Seeking a new challenge coupled with his passion for the business, Jeff Warfield hired Brian to the corporate office to help with the growth and development of the company’s national expansion. Understanding the passion of owning a franchise, Brian has been entrusted with the role of Director of Store Operations.
